Office Administrator for Open Door Exchange 

The Office Administrator oversees the donation processes for Open Door Exchange. The position can be remote and will be for 20 hours per week. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Under the direction of the Director of Open Door Exchange, serve as the primary contact person for ODE furniture donors.

  • Schedule volunteers to cover weekday and Saturday hours at the ODE warehouse/pick ups. 

  • Respond to phone calls, emails, text messages, and social media messages for ODE related to furniture donations.

  • Schedule furniture pick-ups and drop-offs for ODE from private donors, Habitat for Humanity, Junkluggers, and other community partners. This includes planning the pick up route and communicating with volunteers and/or contracted moving services.

  • Maintain warehouse furniture stock by pre-screening for donation quality and keeping an inventory of incoming  items. 

  • Responsible for the following information being inputted to the online database: 

    • Furniture Donors

    • Inventory

  • Connect with local companies, organizations & non-profits to expand our furniture donations.  

  • Send a monthly report of incoming and outgoing donations to the Director of Open Door Exchange. 

  • Send thank you follow ups and donation receipts to donors OR recruit volunteers for this correspondence.

  • Assist with planning of fundraisers.

 

Qualifications:
 

  • Superior organizational and time management skills 

  • Office management and computer skills essential, including fluency with Excel, Google docs, and Salesforce.

  • Ability and willingness to interact respectfully with a diversity of people in a variety of settings
    (clients, volunteers, community leaders, students, etc.) 

  • Ability to attract, build, motivate, and support involvement in these outreach programs
