Holy Week Schedule

Holy Week Services

Please join us as we walk through Holy Week together.

Outdoor Stations of the Cross

Throughout this week, you are invited to walk the Stations of the Cross on your own time, beginning on the walkway leading from the parking lot to the church building. Scripture and images will confront us with the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, and how this narrative repeats itself again and again throughout the past and present. This installation provides multi-sensory ways for us to engage, confess, and lament.

The Stations of the Cross comes from A Sanctified Art (https://sanctifiedart.org/) and was designed by The Rev. T. Denise Anderson. The installation features her original artwork, PietaÌ€: “Woman, Behold Your Son; Behold Your Mother"—a sermon project exploring the story of Mamie Till-Mobley (the mother of Emmett Till) and the grief of Mary, mother of Jesus, beholding her son on the cross. The stations also invite us to see Jesus in our neighbors; in ourselves; and in the faces and stories of those who have faced arrest, conviction, and death in today's criminal justice system.

You are invited to come and pray as we walk with Jesus, and with those whom Jesus loves.
