This version of Psalm 86 is set to an Irish traditional melody, usually paired with the song “My Lagan Love”. The refrain in this version of the Psalm is the same as the last two lines of “My Lagan Love”: Love is Lord of All.

As you listen, may you pray and call out to God: calling out for yourself, your neighbours, strangers, and the pain of the world.

“In the day of my trouble I call on you,

for you will answer me.” 86:7

Let’s pray together using words from The Corrymeela Community:

To build up spiritual resilience, we offer this series of prayers:

God of this shared earth

and this shared experience:

may this great leveller of a disease,

this reminder of our common fragility,

our mortality,

and our recognisable fears,

be also the great correction

in our collective story.
